Illicium modestum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Schisandraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah China (Yunnan). Nama ilmiah Illicium modestum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Albert Charles Smith pada tahun 1947.
