Illicium tashiroi merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Schisandraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Jepang hingga Taiwan. Nama ilmiah Illicium tashiroi pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Maximowicz pada tahun 1888.
