Ice cream bean adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan yang dikenal dengan nama ilmiah Inga edulis ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Nama ilmiah Inga edulis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1837.
