Inga splendens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Nama ilmiah Inga splendens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Ludwig von Willdenow pada tahun 1806.
