Ipomoea australis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Brazil barat-tengah dan Argentina bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Ipomoea australis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carlos Alberto O'Donell pada tahun 2020.
