Ipomoea coptica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah kawasan tropis dan subtropis Afrika, Eropa dan Asia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan alamovine. Nama ilmiah Ipomoea coptica diperkenalkan oleh Albrecht Wilhelm Roth pada tahun 1819.
