Ipomoea ephemera merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Mozambique. Nama ilmiah Ipomoea ephemera diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Bernard Verdcourt pada tahun 1961.
