Ipomoea fuchsioides merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Kuba barat (termasuk Pulau de la Juventud). Nama ilmiah Ipomoea fuchsioides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama August Heinrich Rudolf Grisebach pada tahun 1866.
