Ipomoea maurandioides adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk umbi (geofit) dan tumbuh menjalar. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Brazil dan Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Ipomoea maurandioides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Daniel Friedrich Meissner pada tahun 1869.
