Ipomoea setosa subsp. melanotricha adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbatang basah (lunak) dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko. Nama ilmiah Ipomoea setosa subsp. melanotricha pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Townshend Stith Brandegee pada tahun 2020.
