Ipomoea steerei merupakan tumbuhan . Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tenggara hingga Honduras. Nama ilmiah Ipomoea steerei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Paul Carpenter Standley pada tahun 1970.
