Ipomoea velutina adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Convolvulaceae (suku kangkung-kangkungan) yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Northern Territory utara, Queensland timur laut. Nama ilmiah Ipomoea velutina diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Robert Brown pada tahun 1810.
