Iris oxypetala merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya barat, Rusia Timur Jauh selatan, China utara, hingga Jepang. Nama ilmiah Iris oxypetala diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alexander Andrejewitsch von Bunge pada tahun 1832.
