Iris platyptera merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Afghanistan timur hingga Pakistan barat laut. Nama ilmiah Iris platyptera diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Brian Frederick Mathew pada tahun 1975.
