Iris × violipurpurea merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian tenggara. Nama ilmiah Iris × violipurpurea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Kunkel Small pada tahun 1929.
