Isachne brassii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Sulawesi hingga Papua. Nama ilmiah Isachne brassii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Albert Spear Hitchcock pada tahun 1929.
