Ischnosiphon lasiocoleus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Marantaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Selatan bagian barat hingga Brazil bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Ischnosiphon lasiocoleus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Karl Moritz Schumann pada tahun 1915.
