Isoetes lacustris merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Isoetaceae yang dapat tumbuh di media yang tergenang air (helofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eropa hingga Siberia, Greenland, Kanada bagian utara-tengah dan timur hingga Amerika Serikat bagian utara-tengah dan timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan lake quillwort. Nama ilmiah Isoetes lacustris diperkenalkan oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
