Ixia cochlearis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya (Jonkershoek Valley). Nama ilmiah Ixia cochlearis diperkenalkan oleh Gwendoline Joyce Lewis pada tahun 1946.
