Ixora macrothyrsa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Sulawesi. Nama ilmiah Ixora macrothyrsa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johannes Elias Teijsmann pada tahun 1883.
