SANGRE DE CRISTO Jatrophacardiophylla (Torr.) Müll.Arg.
Jatropha cardiophylla adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Arizona selatan hingga Meksiko (Sonora). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sangre de cristo. Nama ilmiah Jatropha cardiophylla diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Torrey pada tahun 1866.
