Juncus acutus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Juncaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah bagian subtropis dan area iklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan spiny rush. Nama ilmiah Juncus acutus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753.
