Juncus castaneus subsp. leucochlamys merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Juncaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Siberia, China utara, hingga kawasan subarktik Amerika barat.
