Juncus coriaceus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Juncaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari New York hingga Texas. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan leathery rush. Nama ilmiah Juncus coriaceus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Kenneth Kent Mackenzie pada tahun 1929.
