Juncus phaeocephalus var. paniculatus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Juncaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah California. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan brownhead rush. Nama ilmiah Juncus phaeocephalus var. paniculatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Georg Engelmann pada tahun 1868.
