Juncus salsuginosus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Juncaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Asia tengah hingga Siberia dan Mongolia. Nama ilmiah Juncus salsuginosus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicolai Stepanovitch Turczaninow pada tahun 1853.
