Juncus subtilis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Juncaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Greenland hingga Minnesota timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan greater creeping rush. Nama ilmiah Juncus subtilis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ernst Heinrich Friedrich Meyer pada tahun 1823.
