Justicia brasiliana merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil hingga Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Justicia brasiliana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Albrecht Wilhelm Roth pada tahun 1821.
