Justicia phyllocalyx merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Brazil dan Paraguay. Nama ilmiah Justicia phyllocalyx pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Gustav Lindau pada tahun 1997.
