Justicia pubigera merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Pakistan utara hingga Himalaya barat dan tengah. Nama ilmiah Justicia pubigera pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1884.
