Justicia tenera merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko timur laut. Nama ilmiah Justicia tenera pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis William Bertram Turrill pada tahun 1972.
