Justicia whytei merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian selatan. Nama ilmiah Justicia whytei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Spencer Le Marchant Moore pada tahun 1894.
