Justicia wrightii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian selatan-tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan wright's waterwillow. Nama ilmiah Justicia wrightii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Asa Gray pada tahun 1878.
