Kniphofia citrina merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asphodelaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape selatan. Nama ilmiah Kniphofia citrina diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1893.
