Kokia cookei merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kepulauan Hawaii (Molokai barat). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan molokai treecotton. Nama ilmiah Kokia cookei pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Otto Degener pada tahun 1934.
