Lachnaea aurea merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Lachnaea aurea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Friedrich Ecklon pada tahun 1857.
