Lachnaea aurea merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Lachnaea aurea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Christian Friedrich Ecklon pada tahun 1857.
