Lachnagrostis distans merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia Selatan. Nama ilmiah Lachnagrostis distans diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Gustav Kunze pada tahun 2022.
