Lacmellea microcarpa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Apocynaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia, Venezuela selatan, hingga Brazil bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Lacmellea microcarpa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johannes Müller Argoviensis pada tahun 1941.
