Lagerstroemia macrocarpa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lythraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bangladesh hingga Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Lagerstroemia macrocarpa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Wilhelm Sulpiz Kurz pada tahun 1874.
