Lagerstroemia microcarpa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lythraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah India bagian barat. Nama ilmiah Lagerstroemia microcarpa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Robert Wight pada tahun 1839.
