Lagochilus hirtus merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kazakhstan tenggara hingga Xinjiang. Nama ilmiah Lagochilus hirtus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich Ernst Ludwig von Fischer pada tahun 1841.
