Lasiacis rhizophora adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko, Venezuela, hingga Greater Antilles. Nama ilmiah Lasiacis rhizophora diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Eugène Pierre Nicolas Fournier pada tahun 1911.
