Lasianthus japonicus subsp. longicaudus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Rubiaceae (suku kopi-kopian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Assam hingga China selatan. Nama ilmiah Lasianthus japonicus subsp. longicaudus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Joseph Dalton Hooker pada tahun 1994.
