Lathyrus blepharicarpos merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Mediterania timur. Nama ilmiah Lathyrus blepharicarpos pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Pierre Edmond Boissier pada tahun 1849.
