Lathyrus laetivirens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Serikat bagian barat hingga New Mexico. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan aspen pea. Nama ilmiah Lathyrus laetivirens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Edward Lee Greene pada tahun 1906.
