Lathyrus marmoratus merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Mediterania timur. Nama ilmiah Lathyrus marmoratus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Pierre Edmond Boissier pada tahun 1872.
