Launaea platyphylla merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Afghanistan. Nama ilmiah Launaea platyphylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Karl Heinz Rechinger pada tahun 1977.
