Lecythis alutacea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lecythidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Selatan bagian utara hingga N Brazil (Pará). Nama ilmiah Lecythis alutacea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Albert Charles Smith pada tahun 1981.
