Lecythis chartacea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lecythidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia hingga Amerika Selatan bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Lecythis chartacea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Otto Karl Berg pada tahun 1856.
