Lecythis retusa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lecythidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil (Amazonas). Nama ilmiah Lecythis retusa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Richard Spruce pada tahun 1858.
