Lecythis retusa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lecythidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil (Amazonas). Nama ilmiah Lecythis retusa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Richard Spruce pada tahun 1858.
